The concert venues and rehearsal locations have been finalized (with a few details still being worked out), so please see below for the times and locations.

Beyond the performing and rehearsing, the ReReReTour will include two "official" group dinners and get-togethers- a 'welcome' reception and dinner on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, and a 'farewell' dinner and party on Sunday, July 12, 2026. But there will be many, many opportunities for ReReReTour attendees to dine and do things together outside of what's outlined below.

IMPORTANT: Family and friends are welcome to attend the rehearsal in Sainte-Chapelle, part of which will likely include an informal 'concert' of the ReReReTour's full repertoire. However, due to its very strict security requirements, in order to be admitted to Sainte-Chapelle for the rehearsal, *every* attendee (regardless of age) *must* 1) be specifically named on a list that has to be submitted to Sainte-Chapelle by June 30, 2026, and 2) arrive to be admitted to Sainte-Chapelle between 7:00pm and 7:15pm. Once admitted, attendees will be free to depart at any time but will not be readmitted once they leave.
-
~9:45pm - whenever
Given the timing of the rehearsal in Sainte-Chapelle, following the rehearsal, those who wish are welcome to get together for a late (unless you're French!) dinner, Dutch, at:
11 Place Saint-Michel, 29 Quai Saint-Michel
5th arrondissement, 75005 Paris
The restaurant knows that a potentially large group will be coming in at around that time and expects that there shouldn't be a problem in seating us all in the same area.

Paris Lodging

The ReReReTour's unofficial 'headquarters' hotels are noted below. But, in truth, the only things that will give them any HQ qualities will be that your tour managers will be staying in them. David will be staying at:

54, rue Saint Louis en l'île
4th arrondissement, 75004 Paris

And Chris will be staying at:

5 place de l'Odéon/23, rue Racine
6th arrondissement, 75006 Paris

Please note: For unknown reasons, the websites of many of Paris' hotels (and general hotel booking websites) may indicate that a hotel has no rooms available when, in fact, there are rooms available for the period in question. Consequently, the best way to determine a hotel's room availability is to e-mail the hotel directly.

Pre-ReReReTour Rehearsal in Cambridge

A pre-ReReReTour rehearsal was held in Cambridge on Saturday, April 11, 2026. at Holden Chapel in Harvard Yard. Find out more about the rehearsal and view and listen to the rehearsal here.

But, nothwithstanding having this rehearsal, it will be important for ReReReTour 'definites' to spend some good time before arriving in Paris refamiliarizing themselves with the ReReReTour repertoire. We'd like our ReReReTour concerts to come as close as possible to our 1976 standard.

Pre-Paris Vocal Reconditioning & Exercises

One of the (disheartening) things that the Cambridge rehearsal demonstrated to your webmaster was that the eight years since the 2018 ReReTour had had a greater negative impact on the flexibility and clarity of his voice than had the forty-two years between the 1976 Tour and the 2018 ReReTour. This section, then, is for those ReReReTour 'Definites' and 'Possibles' who, like your webmaster, have done little formal singing in recent years.
If your singing voice is out-of-shape, it is essential that you start addressing that NOW! While the rehearsals in Paris (along with refamiliarizing yourself with the ReReReTour repertoire before arriving in Paris) will unquestionably help you pull our 1976 repertoire to the surface of your memory so that you will have confidence about your voice part's notes, tempos, and entrances, they will NOT be sufficient, by themselves, to get your voice into the shape that you will want it to be in for our ReReReTour performances in Paris and Chartres. But, never fear, THAT can be done with about fifteen minutes of vocal exercises done daily (or at least five times a week) between now and when you leave for Paris.
There are a series of exercises called the Stemple Vocal Function Exercises that are expressly designed to "strengthen and balance speaking and singing muscles, improve vocal fold efficiency (adduction), and coordinate systems used in speaking and singing." While there are many websites and publications that reference and describe these exercises, I suggest taking a look at this one, Strengthening Aging Voices, by a vocal coach named Kathleen Hansen. A particular value of this webpage is that it has several videos that demonstrate the Stemple exercises. If interested, you can also take a look at two additional videos by Ms. Hansen- Singing Vocal Warmups for Aging Voices & Strong, Reliable Singing Voice.
Whether you use these specific exercises or not, the important thing is to get your voice in shape through regular, controlled use. If you find- or believe that you'll find- that you are uncomfortable exercising your creaky voice around the house where others might hear, then I suggest getting a vocal dampener which is a device that, basically, you sing into and that, as the name suggests, dampens the sound of your voice considerably (but without messing with your mouth- like a pillow would!). There are two types- one covers just your mouth and the other covers your mouth and nose. FYI, as people sometimes have trouble taking sufficient breaths with the ones that cover both nose and mouth, your webmaster has one that just covers his mouth (BeltBox 3.0).
As you know, we will be singing in, among other places, Sainte-Chapelle, Église Saint-Séverin, and Chartres Cathedral, and we will want to sound good! So, please, between now and July, give your voice its best chance to shine by preparing it for those wonderful venues!
